Al-Nassr forward, Sadio Mane has been left impressed with the level of competition in the Saudi Pro League, comparing it to some of the best leagues in Europe.
The 31-year-old joined Al-Nassr in the summer transfer window from German Bundesliga giants Bayern Leverkusen.
Before moving from Germany, Mane enjoyed spells in the French Ligue 1 and the English Premier League, where he was largely successful with Liverpool.
Mane, who has already scored six goals in eleven games in the SPL, believes the league is getting better and stronger like the ones in Europe.
“The Saudi Professional League is on the right track because I have played in England, Germany as well as France, and I can say that the Saudi League is strong and getting stronger, so I hope the league next year will be much better,” he told Al-Ekhbariya TV, as quoted by senenews.com.
The Senegalese forward has already won his first trophy with the Knights of Najd, starring in the victory over Al-Hilal in the final of the Arab Club Cup Championship.
Meanwhile, on Saturday evening the forward had a goal disallowed as Al-Nassr defeated Al-Khaleej 2-0, courtesy strikes from Cristiano Ronaldo and Aymeric Laporte, as reported by msn.com.
Mane meets Jordan Henderson after Al-Nassr win
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson were reunited after the game between Al-Nassr and Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi King Cup round of 16 clash.
The Senegalese forward netted the only goal as the Knights of Najd progressed to the quarter-finals after edging their rivals in an epic encounter.
Al-Nassr played most of the game with ten men after Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca was sent off in the first half.

FootballSports Brief also reported that Sadio Mane's extra time goal earned Al-Nassr victory in the Saudi King Cup of Champions round of 16 game against Al-Ettifaq at the Al Awwal Stadium.
Al-Nassr were reduced to ten men in the first-half after forward Anderson Talisca was sent off.
Despite playing the rest of the match with a numerical disadvantage, the Knights of Najd progressed to the quater-final with a hard-fought 1-0 win.
