Real Madrid legend Marcelo couldn't hold back his tears as he celebrated Copa Libertadores victory with his beloved boyhood club Fluminense.
Fluminense secured their maiden title in the CONMEBOL South American club competition by defeating Argentina's Boca Juniors 2-1 in extra time on Saturday.
It was also a momentous first Copa Libertadores trophy for Marcelo, who returned to his childhood club in February after a 16-year absence, and only seven months later, celebrated a victory of this magnitude.
Even though the veteran defender was substituted in the second half against Boca Juniors, the legendary full-back remained an integral part of the championship-winning team.

It was Marcelo's 26th major trophy in his illustrious career.
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that former Real Madrid defender, Marcelo has won the Copa Libertadores, the South American version of the Champions League, after helping boyhood club Fluminense beat Boca Juniors in the final.
