Napoli manager Rudi Garcia has provided an update on Victor Osimhen's injury, with the Super Eagles star being ruled out of action since October.
The Super Eagles striker got injured during Nigeria's international friendly game last month against Saudi Arabia in Portugal.
The former Lille star has since been granted permission by Napoli to continue his recovery in Nigeria.
In a recent interview, Napoli manager Rudi Garcia gave an update on the Super Eagles striker's injury claiming he is expected back in Italy next week, according to a report by Complete Sports.
"Osimhen made an agreement with the club, I spoke to him through messages, the doctors assure me that he is following the program, everything is fine, and he will be with us next week," he said.
"It’s not that I don’t care, but whether it’s Osimhen or Russo, injured together, cannot play, and therefore I focus on who can play."
Osimhen has picked up where he left off last season in this campaign as he has scored six goals in 10 games in all competitions in the 2023-24 season.
Napoli are missing the Super Eagles star's brilliance in front of goal since his injury, with their last game ending in a 2-2 draw against AC Milan.

Osimhen on playing in Serie A
Sports Brief earlier reported that Osimhen shared his thoughts on how difficult it is to play in the Italian Serie A compared to other leagues in Europe.
The 24-year-old striker has scored 56 Serie A goals in 91 appearances since moving to Italy, with 26 of the goals coming in their title-winning season, according to Transfermarkt.
In a recent interview, as cited by EuroFoot on X, Osimhen claimed that Serie A is one of the most difficult leagues, and people don't fathom how hard it is to play in the league.
