Eden Hazard appears to be enjoying his life away from the sport after he announced his retirement from professional football earlier this month.
Hazard spent four frustrating years at Real Madrid before his contract was mutually terminated despite having a year left on the five-year contract he signed when he joined in 2019.
After sitting throughout the summer transfer window rejecting multiple offers, including from Major League Soccer and the Saudi Pro League, he announced his professional retirement.
The Belgian playmaker arrived at the Ballon d'Or ceremony in the company of his sons and spoke to the media shortly after, where he shared a little about his life since retirement.

Football“It [life] is perfect. Enjoy life, enjoy family, enjoy the kids. I can do what I want. It's a perfect life. At the moment, I don’t miss playing football, it’s good, let’s see in a few months,” he told CBS Sports.
Some fans are still optimistic that the former Chelsea star will reverse his decision to retire for one last dance, possibly at Stamford Bridge.
Sports Brief reported on Hazard dazzling in his first game since he announced his retirement from professional football after four frustrating years at Real Madrid.
He turned up in a charity match to raise money for the payment of children's hospital bills in France, and he scored and also provided five assists as his team won 11-2.
Sports Brief also reported on Hazard picking Messi over Haaland to win the 2023 Ballon d'Or after the Argentina captain won the World Cup in Qatar.
The former Lille forward claimed it would defy logic for the best player in the world not to pick up the coveted award in the year he won the World Cup.
