Manchester City hotshot, Erling Haaland is in line to receive a huge payout if he wins the 2023 Ballon d'Or award.
The Norwegian is a strong favourite to cart home the prestigious accolade after a record-breaking debut season with the Citizens last term.
Haaland was impressive for the Premier League giants, with his incredible goal-scoring form also earning him a Ballon d'Or nomination.
According to Goal, the former Borussia Dortmund ace scored a stellar 52 goals across competitions last term to help City win a historic treble, including the UEFA Champions League.
The youngster is now set to come up against a host of other top stars for the 2023 edition of the Ballon d'Or award.
Haaland set for huge payout
The Mirror reports that Haaland could pocket an eyewatering £1 million payout from City if he wins the prestigious gong in Paris on Monday night.
It is understood this amount is part of the bonuses included in the striker's deal when he joined the Manchester-based club last summer.
The Norwegian international has already collected his fair share of bonuses since arriving from Borussia Dortmund.
Since his arrival, Haaland has already won several individual honours, including the FWA Footballer of the Year and the Premier League Player of the Season.
He was also recently crowned the UEFA Men's Player of the Year.
Barcelona legend's Ballon d'Or favourites
Sports Brief also reported on a Barcelona legend snubbing Lionel Messi for the 2023 Ballon d'Or, by omitting the Argentine from his list of preferred winners.
The veteran is highly expected to challenge for a record-extending eighth title at this year's awards gala after guiding his nation to FIFA World Cup victory.
However, a legend of his former club believes three other players deserve the 2023 Ballon d'Or more than Barcelona's most decorated player in history.
