Paris Saint-Germain secured a hard-fought 3-2 win against Brest away from home. Kylian Mbappe scored a brace, including the game-winner, helping PSG move to second in the table.

On Sunday evening, PSG blew a 2-0 lead, and it appeared they were headed for a frustrating draw. Warren-Zair-Emery scored the first goal in the 16th minute before Mbapped doubled the lead after 28 minutes.

Brest pulled one back before halftime, then equalized early in the second half. Mbappe stepped up to take a penalty in the 89th minute. The goalkeeper saved his attempt, but the World Cup winner scored the rebound.

PSG have now won their last three Ligue 1 games. They are now second in the table, a point behind leaders Nice.

Mbappe reaches new milestone

Mbappe has now scored 10 Ligue 1 goals and 12 in all competitions. The 24-year-old has now scored 251 goals in his club career. The French international has scored 224 goals for PSG and 27 for Monaco.

He's also got 42 goals for France. Considering he's only 24, he is on track to break many goalscoring records in his career, barring any injury or illness.

The France captain bagged a hat-trick in the 2022 FIFA World Cup final and won the Golden Boot at the tournament. The former Monaco star has won five Ligue 1 Golden Boots so far and is the leading scorer this season despite a turbulent summer.

He became PSG's all-time goalscorer in March this year.

The only trophy he's not won is the Champions League, and that could change if he moves to Real Madrid in the next few years.

Mbappe breaks Henry’s UCL record

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Thierry Henry is regarded as one of the best strikers ever to play the game, but Mbappe is already shattering his fellow Frenchman’s records in the UEFA Champions League.

The 24-year-old forward bettered Henry’s impressive 11-year-old record as PSG defeated AC Milan 3-0 to revive their ambitions in Europe’s elite club competition.

Mbappe opened the scoring for PSG against Milan in the 32nd minute, with further goals from Randal Kolo Muani and Lee Kang-in propelling the Parisians to the top of Group F.
