The England international was playing his first El Clasico, and he left his mark. His goals were impressive, considering Real Madrid trailed for much of the game.

Ilkay Gundagan scored for Barcelona after six minutes, and it looked like their unbeaten run would continue, but the 20-year-old playing in his first El Clasico had other ideas.

His first came in the 68th minute. Following a clearance, Bellingham got the ball just outside the box and fired an unstoppable shot past Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

His second came in injury time. Dani Carvajal's cross was flicked by Luka Modric and was met by Bellingham to give Madrid a huge win, per BBC.

Bellingham breaks Zidane's record

With the double, Bellingham now has 13 goals in 13 appearances for the club with three assists. His goals and performances have made him a fan favourite.

Moreover, he now has scored more goals in 13 games than Zidane ever scored at Real Madrid in all competitions. Zidane scored nine league goals in both 2002/03 and 2005/06.

Zidane's best season saw him score 12 goals in the 2001/02 and 2002/03 seasons with Real Madrid, per Transfermarkt.

Furthermore, he is one goal away from equalling his best-ever season, statistically. Last season, he scored 14 goals in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund.
