Vinicius Junior and Real Madrid had the last laugh in the first El Clasico of the 2023/24 season. Jude Bellingham sparked a remarkable comeback with two goals to help his team win 2-1.
Vinicius Junior was a major talking point during and after the game. One major talking point was when he was walked off the pitch by manager Carlo Ancelotti.
The match didn't start well for the La Liga leaders. They went 1-0 down after just six minutes and survived until the 68th minute when Bellingham stepped up, per BBC.
The England international scored a sensational goal in the 68th minute for the equalizer before adding the matchwinner in injury time. The former Borussia Dortmund star has now scored 10 La Liga goals and 13 in all competitions this season.
Carlo Ancelotti's side are now top of the table with 28 points, same as Girnona, while Barcelona are third with 24 points.
Ancelotti drags Vinicius Junior
When he was substituted in injury time, Vinicius Junior sarcastically applauded fans at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.
Vinicius tried to provoke Barcelona fans while taking all the time to get off the pitch. His Brazil teammate and Barcelona winger Raphinha pushed him off the field, but the 23-year-old wasn't having it as boos reverberated around the stadium.
Ancelotti decided to take matters into his own hands before things got out of hand. He took Vinicius Junior's hand and dragged him off the field, per Talksport.
