FootballWilliam Saliba Angers Arsenal Fans After Being Spotted in 'Spurs' Jersey
- William Saliba left a section of Arsenal fans confused after he was spotted wearing a 'Spurs' jersey
- The Frenchman was seen in the kit in the Arsenal dressing room
- It later emerged that he wore it in support of Victor Wembanyama, the NBA's latest megastar prospect
Arsenal defender William Saliba has risked the wrath of the Gunners' support base after he was spotted with a 'Spurs' jersey.
Saliba has been a mainstay figure in Mikel Arteta's squad and formed an important part in the team's Premier League title charge last season.
The Frenchman's impressive performances have, over time, earned him praise and admiration from Arsenal fans.
However, recently he rubbed them the wrong way with his choice of dressing.
Daily Star reports that Saliba was snapped in the Arsenal dressing room donning a San Antonio Spurs jersey - with the word Spurs visible on his chest.
This did not go down with a section of fans, with some openly calling out the defender.

I still wouldn't wear it 👎 I love him but nope never."
@MAINAMO97249792 wondered:
Is Saliba thinking of joining Tottenham one day?."
@BazaritoDorito added:
"Should be illegal."
Meanwhile, it has since emerged that Saliba donning the kit had nothing to do with him having some sort of admiration for Arsenal's rivals, Tottenham.
It is understood that the defender was wearing it in support of Victor Wembanyama, the NBA's latest megastar prospect.
Wembanyama made his highly anticipated debut against the Dallas Mavericks on opening night earlier this week.
Arsenal silence Sheffield United
Meanwhile, Sports Brief earlier reported that Eddie Nketiah was the man of the moment on Saturday, October 28, as Arsenal demolished Sheffield United 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners went into the tie with the hope of bouncing back to winning ways in the Premier League following last week's 2-2 draw against rivals Chelsea in the London derby.

FootballThe Evening Standard reported that Nketiah opened the scoring in the 28th minute before he scored two more goals in the second half.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, this was Nketiah's first Premier League hatrick for the Gunners.
