Despite facing some level of criticism for his limited impact during his side's sole defeat this season against Atletico Madrid, Bellingham effectively silenced his detractors during what is arguably the most significant fixture in club football.

Following Ilkay Gundogan's opening goal in the first half, it initially seemed that the White Angels might face yet another setback against their Clasico adversaries.

However, the 20-year-old had other plans, first levelling the score with a stunning goal, as cited by BBC.

According to Eurosport, as the game appeared destined for a draw, Bellingham seized an opportunity provided by Modric, securing the win for Madrid and claiming all three points, simultaneously asserting their dominance at the top of the Spanish La Liga.

"Give him the next Ballon d’Or already."

@CarlyRmcf concurred with @AngleX100pre but also took time to aim a dig at Lionel Messi:

"He should win the 2024 Ballon d'Or, if they don’t Rigged it for Messi again."

@Elisha_izu added:

"Without a doubt [Bellingham is the best player in the world]. Aren't you impressed?"

Bellingham wins Clasico for Madrid

In his debut La Liga Clasico, Jude Bellingham's impressive brace secured a thrilling 2-1 comeback win for Real Madrid against Barcelona on Saturday, as reported by Sports Brief.

The young English talent, who has been showcasing an exceptional goal-scoring prowess since joining Madrid, first equalized with a stunning long-range strike into the top corner after Ilkay Gundogan had initially put Barcelona ahead at the Olympic Stadium.

Bellingham's decisive goals propelled Real Madrid to the summit of La Liga, edging ahead of Girona based on goal difference, with both teams leading Barcelona by a four-point margin in the league standings.
