Jude Bellingham is preparing for his first El Clasico on Saturday, October 28. The Real Madrid star is enjoying a phenomenal start to the season following his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund.
The 20-year-old recently spoke about his memories of El Clasico and even named his favourite moment from the iconic fixture.
Bellingham will head into the fixture as one of the most in-form players in Europe. He has scored 11 goals in 12 appearances, and is the leading goalscorer in La Liga, per Transfermarkt.
The England international has broken a few records along the way and will be tasked with providing the goals for Carlo Ancelotti's side.
After ten games, Real Madrid are top of La Liga with 25 points, a point ahead of bitter rivals Barcelona. To protect their lead at the top, they will need to beat Xavi's side away from home on Saturday evening.
Bellingham picks favourite El Clasico moment
Speaking ahead of the highly-anticipated tie, the former Birmingham City star is looking forward to the fixture.
“I’m really excited and looking forward to the moment. It’s an opponent we respect a lot. I’m very excited and it’s interesting personally. I’m going to enjoy myself a lot,” he said, via Football Espana.
Bellingham also spoke about his best moment from the Clasico.
“I always remember the celebrations that were iconic, Cristiano doing the ‘calma, calma’. It was an iconic image.”
The youngster is looking to create his own iconic moment on Saturday. Bellingham failed to score against Atletico Madrid and is hoping things will be better against another top rival.
