Senegalese forward, Sadio Mane has become the new owner of French Championnat National 2 club, Bourges Foot 18.
The Al-Nassr star completed the takeover of the club on Tuesday morning and has now been confirmed the majority stakeholder of the French outfit.
Mane becomes the latest footballer to buy a club after N'Golo Kante invested in Belgian third-tier side Royal Excelsior Virton.
In a press conference held in France, Mane joined via a video message as he expressed excitement about being part of the ownership of the club, as spotted on social media.
The 31-year-old has invested in several ventures back home in Senegal, and the purchase of the French club is seen as an avenue to help young players from the African country find their way to top-level football.
Mane started his professional career in France, joining Ligue 1 side FC Metz before going on to play for Red Bull Salzburg, Southampton, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich.
He joined Al-Nassr in the summer transfer window from the German giants, as reported by the BBC.
Mane's family celebrate maiden AFC CL goal
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that the family of Mane were at Al-Awwal Park in Saudi Arabia to support the player during the Asian Champions League game between Al-Nassr and Al-Duhail.
The 31-year-old scored his first goal in the competition as the Saudi Pro League side edged their opponents 4-3 to maintain their one hundred percent record in Group E.
In a video shared on social media, Mane's family were spotted jubilating as the ex-Liverpool star netted his side's second goal in the thrilling encounter.
