Real Madrid fans are breathing a sigh of relief as it appears as if Jude Bellingham will be fit in time to face Barcelona in El Clasico.
The Los Blancos superstar had fans worried after he appeared to be in some discomfort during his side’s UEFA Champions League game against Braga.
Bellingham scored Madrid’s second goal as they went on to win 2-1, but was substituted before the end of the game.
The sight of their star limping sent many fans into panic, especially with the game against Barca approaching, but Ancelotti has allayed any fears.
As noted by AS, the Madrid boss played down any concerns, saying that the English midfielder was fine.
“His adductor is a bit overloaded due to the state of the pitch, which was a bit soft. It’s nothing special. He’ll be fine, he’s fit. He’s a bit tired, but it’s normal,” the Italian manager said.
Bellingham crucial for Madrid this season
The former Borussia Dortmund star has hit the ground running since joining the La Liga side and will be a key figure in their quest to win the La Liga title.
As noted by Transfermarkt, Bellingham has already scored 11 goals in 12 games for the Spanish side. Madrid will be hoping he can continue that fine form when they take on Barcelona in their next game.
The two sides are separated by a single point on the La Liga table.
