Arshavin starred for the Gunners between 2009 and 2013, making over 140 appearances for the north Londoners.

Despite the existing rivalry between Spurs and Arsenal, the former midfielder still spared a moment to watch his old rivals in action.

The 42-year-old took to Instagram to share hints of him at the stadium during the Monday night cracker.

Arshavin, who nearly joined Spurs in 2008, sported large rectangular glasses and a beanie hat in his selfie video.

Tottenham silence Fulham to go top

The Monday night tie saw Tottenham silence Fulham 2-0 to go top of the Premier League standings.

Sky Sports reports that goals from James Maddison and Son Heung-min were enough to help the hosts beat the Cottagers.

The north Londoners now lead the standings with 23 points, two points ahead of reigning champions Manchester City, who sit second.

Ange Postecoglou's men have enjoyed an impressive start to the season and remain unbeaten in the Premier League thus far in nine outings.

Spurs will be hoping to continue with their unbeaten run this Friday when they take on Crystal Palace.

Ramsdale linked with Chelsea move

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Arsenal goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale has been linked with a sensational move to Premier League rivals, Chelsea.

The England international has been impressive for the Gunners since he joined them in the summer of 2021 from Sheffield United.

Ramsdale has since been a mainstay figure in Mikel Arteta's squad and was the club's first-choice goalkeeper last season when the north London side sealed a second-place finish in the league.
