FootballMykhailo Mudryk: Fans Spot Selfless Gesture of Chelsea Star to Mascot Before Arsenal Game
- Mykhailo Mudryk was in the news for all the positive reasons after his performance against Arsenal
- The 22-year-old scored Chelsea's second goal of the night with an audacious chip
- Before the game, he was spotted surrendering his jacket to a young girl amidst a heavy downpour
Mykhailo Mudryk won the hearts of fans after his wholesome gesture to a young mascot was spotted ahead of the Chelsea vs. Arsenal clash on October 21.
Mudryk was named in the starting XI by Mauricio Pochettino to face the side that he rejected in January to move to West London.
Fresh from bagging his first international goal for Ukraine, the winger continued with the rich vein of form, scoring Chelsea's second goal, his first ever at Stamford Bridge, three minutes after the restart. He caught Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya off his line with a beautiful chip.
However, apart from the goal, he endeared himself to fans after he offered his jacket to a young girl as they walked out onto the pitch before the match. The first half of the contest was played with rain pouring down on the players.
Chelsea players were donned in club raincoats over their jerseys ahead of the match. Mudryk realised that the young girl was freezing and took off his jacket and gave it to her, as shown in a video uploaded by Chelsea FC.

Chelsea's solid play was, however, undone by Robert Sanchez's mistake to gift Declan Rice and Arsenal a way back into the game. Leandro Trossard then came off the bench to grab a point for Arsenal.
Mudryk and his Blues teammates will play Brentford in the early kickoff this Saturday.

FootballSterling and Palmer argue over penalty
Sports Brief also reported on Sterling and Palmer arguing over who would take the contentious penalty given to the Blues in their 2-2 draw against Arsenal.
The two former Manchester City stars were dragging the ball before Argentina midfielder Enzo Fernandez waded in and passed the ball to the 21-year-old, who scored, and the whole team brushed it aside and celebrated the goal.
