Time waits for no trophyless man.

Kaizer Chiefs have bowed to the pressure and have gotten rid of Molefi Ntseki just four months into his stint.

As well as bottles from the grandstands, supporters and football fans alike have been throwing jibes at the outgoing coach on social media.

Opinions are lopsided as to whether Ntseki should have been given more time or if his dismissal was fair, with many happy to see the back of Ntseki.

While his reign as head coach was short, he had two years in the youth structure to familiarise himself with the Chiefs culture and the mammoth expectations.

Given his time in the youth setup, as well as his experience at international level, it was expected that Ntseki would hit the ground running.

That said, the step-up to first-team football in the DSTV Premiership and accompanying cup competitions is relentless and four months is an awfully short time to mould a team.

Some celebrated the power of the fans in getting the club's officials to bend to the will of the Amakhosi faithful.

Others suggested Ntseki may not have had the respect needed from the players in order for them to properly carry out his vision.

A clip of Yusuf Maart allegedly correcting his coach after receiving instructions from Ntseki has been widely shared on social media, with fans using this as evidence of this theory.

Cavin Johnson has answered the call to guide the Amakhosi on an interim basis, until a long-term replacement is identified.

Whoever comes in will need to address the squad's shortcomings quickly, or at least get the team to play a more focused and rigid style in the short term.

Ntseki shown the door

Sports Brief recently reported on Ntseki being sacked following a Carling Knockout Cup exit that was the final straw.

Club officials held a meeting on Monday in which it was agreed to terminate Ntseki’s contract by mutual consent.

Ntseki thanked the club’s chairman and board of directors for giving him the opportunity to manage the Amakhosi
