FootballAl Nassr vs Al Duhail: Michael Olunga Faces Cristiano Ronaldo in AFC Champions League

- Al-Nassr will host Al-Duhail in the AFC Champions League, with Olunga's side desperate for maximum points
- Both Olunga and Ronaldo have been in good form for their sides heading into this game
Kenya's football national team captain, Michael Olunga, will face Cristiano Ronaldo when his Al-Duhail side travel to Saudi Arabia to play Al-Nassr in the AFC Champions League.
The match, which will be staged at the Al Awal Park on October 24, will be the third group stage match for both sides as the race for qualification to the next round heats up.
Ronaldo's Al-Nassr currently leads the four-team group with 6 points after beating Persepolis and Istiqlol Dushanbe. Al-Duhail, meanwhile, are yet to win a game after they drew with Istiqlol before going down to Persepolis. They are third in the standings.
Only the first-ranked team after the end of the group stage qualifies.
Christophe Galtier appointed new Al-Duhail coach
Al-Duhail have made changes to their technical bench, bringing in former Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier. The Frenchman made a winning start on October 14, beating Al-Gharafa 2-0 in the QSL Cup. The Qatari champions are currently five points off the table leaders Al-Rayyan after 5 rounds of matches.
Olunga has scored five goals already but lags behind in the Golden Boot race with Al-Gharafa's Yacine Brahimi on 9 goals. The Harambee Stars striker is the top scorer for the last two seasons. He will also face Ronaldo's striker partner, Sadio Mane.
The last time he came up against the former Liverpool man was in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, where Senegal beat Kenya 3-0.
Al-Nassr, meanwhile, heads into the fixture in a hot streak of form. They have only lost twice in their last 17 games. That was way back in August when they lost back-to-back games. Ronaldo has been close to unplayable, scoring five times in their last five games.
