Paris Saint-Germain displayed complete dominance throughout the match against Strasbourg, with their superior possession and control ultimately securing them the victory.
The Parisians, guided by an outstanding performance from Kylian Mbappe, showed no mercy to their opponents while playing on their home ground.
Mbappe and Soler, the perfect duo
In the 8th minute, Junior Mwanga, who arrived late to the ball, delivered a hard tackle on Goncalo Ramos inside the penalty area, resulting in a clear penalty in favor of the Parisian team. Taking the spot kick, Mbappe left the goalkeeper with no chance, executing a perfect shot.
The celebration was short-lived for Luis Enrique's team, as in the 13th minute, Strasbourg equalized the score to 1-1 after a corner to the far post, during which the PSG defense seemed disoriented.
However, Carlos Soler anticipated the play and leaped to keep Mothiba in an offside position, with the goal subsequently disallowed by VAR due to an offside infringement.
Fifteen minutes before halftime, Soler received a pass from Mbappe, following an exquisite display of skill by the Frenchman, and expertly placed a shot into the top right corner of the goal.
PSG take the spoils at home
The second half kicked off with no alterations from either team, and PSG maintained their commanding control of the game.
Luis Enrique's side persistently attempted to widen the goal margin, while Strasbourg, with limited alternatives, had a couple of opportunities from set pieces but couldn't capitalise.
In the 80th minute, the home team secured their third goal when Fabian Ruiz executed a spectacular move, culminating in a precise shot from inside the penalty area.
The Spaniard's accuracy left the goalkeeper, Sels, with no chance as the ball found the bottom left corner, sealing the match in favor of the home side.
