Cristiano Ronaldo continued his outstanding start to the Saudi Pro League season by netting a goal that secured a crucial victory for Al Nassr.
Luis Castro's team, which had their nine-game winning streak halted in the previous match against Abha, were in dire need of a vital win as they played host to Damac FC.
The match got off to a tense start for the Riyadh-based club as they were surprised by a late first-half goal from Cameroon's Georges-Kevin N'Koudou, as reported by Goal.
The knights of Najid, however wasted no time in responding at the beginning of the second half. Brazilian forward Anderson Talisca found the back of the net with a sizzling strike from a freekick in the 52nd minute, catching goalkeeper Moustapha Zegha off guard and levelling the score.
Luis Castro's side would eventually take the lead of the game, this time courtesy of another freekick from Ronaldo just four minutes later. The former Real Madrid star, who notched his 61st career freekick on the night as reported by Whoscored, left fans in awe with his brilliant strike.
