Kylian Mbappe looks set to bring to an end his seven-year reign at Paris Saint-Germain, with reports suggesting he is now willing to leave the Parisians for free in 2024.
The 24-year-old forward has been in a standoff with the reigning Ligue 1 champions for refusing to extend his contract, which is set to expire at the end of the season.
According to Football Espana, Real Madrid are still interested in signing Mbappe, with club president Florentino Perez wanting guarantees from the forward that he will sign with Los Blancos to avoid the embarrassment live before.
PSG continue to make offers to the France captain, who is also the club’s top scorer, but Mbappe seems to be keen to leave on a free next summer.
Mbappe has struggled to find his best form recently after failing to score in his last four games for PSG but remains the club’s best performer this season with seven goals in Ligue 1.
Chelsea and Liverpool show Mbappe's interest
Meanwhile, English Premier League giants Chelsea and Liverpool are the latest clubs to express interest in signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent next summer, Madrid Universal reports.
Both EPL teams are determined to rekindle their interest in the 24-year-old France forward and are gearing up to invest substantial sums in their pursuit of the PSG star when the transfer window opens.
Real Madrid maintains that Mbappe's heart has long yearned for a spell at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, in order to prevent repeating past mistakes, they intend to commence conversations with the player in January.
