Real Madrid are on the cusp of commemorating a substantial contract extension, and it features none other than their Brazilian star, Vinicius Jr.

Previously labeled as an erratic young talent, the winger has transformed into one of Los Blancos' key players, solidifying his position as the face of the team.

A substantial part of Vinicius' evolution can be attributed to the coaching expertise of Carlo Ancelotti and his staff.

The Brazilian prodigy's transition from uncertainty to stardom underscores the invaluable guidance he has acquired at the club.

Given his remarkable development, it's challenging to imagine Vinicius leaving Santiago Bernabeu in the near future, as he seems destined for a lengthy and triumphant career with Real Madrid.

However, beneath the exterior, lies a pledge that Vinicius is resolute about fulfilling.

In an interview with France Football via The Real Champs, the electrifying forward shared a deeply heartfelt commitment:

“I think I could stay here my whole career, but the club of my life is Flamengo. I promised my father I would go back one day. I have to keep this promise.”

Vinicius, the wonderkid from Flamengo

Vinicius' origins can be traced to his formative years in Flamengo's youth system, where he refined his skills and gained experience in senior-level football.

The 23-year-old's first 50 appearances for the Brazilian club laid the foundation for his eventual transfer to Real Madrid, per Transfermarkt.

Despite his growing fame in Spain as a Champions League winner, he remains steadfast in his commitment to eventually come back to Flamengo.

Although a return to the Brazilian league may not be imminent, his recent remarks indicate that he might eventually wrap up his illustrious career at the club where it all started.

Vinicius wants to play with Mbappe

Sports Brief earlier reported on Vinicius Jr explaining why he wants to play alongside PSG star and Real Madrid target Kylian Mbappe.

The 14-time European champions have been long-term admirers of Mbappe and are reportedly planning to acquire him next summer on a free transfer.

The French superstar was locked in a protracted contract stand-off with the club and insisted he sign a new deal this summer.
