Rooney is set to make his bow as Birmingham boss this weekend after leaving Major League Soccer side DC United at the end of the regular season.
Vardy, meanwhile, still plies his trade for Leicester City in the Championship after they were relegated last season. It will be the first time that the two English internationals will meet after the conclusion of the case.
The Wagatha Christie trial
Coleen Rooney accused Rebekah Vardy of leaking photos from her private Instagram account to the British tabloid paper The Sun. Vardy declined those allegations and sued Rooney for libel.
Rooney proved her claims by posting fabricated stories on her Instagram and restricting viewership to Vardy only. The Sun went ahead and published the same story with Mrs Justice Steyn ruling in favour of Rooney last year.
Vardy was ordered to pay a sum of up to 3 million euros in legal costs.

Leicester leads with 30 points, two ahead of Ipswich, while Preston are further back in third with 20 points. John Eustace was sacked despite Birmingham being in sixth place.
