Super Falcons striker Francisca Ordega has shared some lovely photos on social media in celebration of her 30th birthday.
Born in Gboko, Benue State, on October 19, 1993, the forward has grown to become one of the finest female footballers from the African continent.
She was part of the Nigerian Women’s national team that featured at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
Ordega has been with the Super Falcons squad since 2010 and has so far made 26 appearances, scoring 12 goals.
The striker has helped Nigeria to win the African Women's Championship on four occasions, claiming it in 2010, 2014, 2016 and 2018.
In the early stages of her career, she featured for Bayelsa United and Rivers Angels before moving abroad to join Russian side Rossiyanka in a mouth-watering deal in 2012.
She also had a stint in the United States, playing for Washington Spirit before being shipped on loan to Sydney FC and later Atletico Madrid.
Ordega also featured for Chinese Women’s Super League side Shanghai Shengli and then Levante in Spain.
Live Sport reports that she currently plays for CSKA Moscow, having joined in 2021. So far, she has scored 12 league goals for the Spanish outfit in 27 matches.
As she clocks 30, the forward says she is getting even better with age:

Ordega preparing for family life
Sports Brief earlier reported that Ordega disclosed that she could not wait to start having babies and begin her own family life.
Having returned home from the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, Ordega disclosed that she is considering having babies soon. She said:
“Four years? I think I will be pregnant, I think I will have my babies then. Four years, I might have babies. I love babies. I might really.”
