Chaine is having a stellar season with the Buccaneers and led them to victory in the recent MTN 8 final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Komphela, in a recent interview, claimed he is not surprised by the recent performance of Chaine for the Buccaneers and disclosed what he told him previously, according to a report by iDiskiTimes:

"We were playing the Macufe Cup against [Kaizer] Chiefs at Vodacom Park [now Toyota Stadium], I told him straight, I still remember vividly the tights he was wearing, he was more colourful and all that, at the Vodacom Stadium I said to him, ‘you are going places, my friend’.
"And what happened over the weekend, it is only astonishing for those who don’t follow the game," Komphela added.

Chaine has been a constant member of Jose Riveiro's starting lineup for the Buccaneers and it is not looking likely to change anytime soon due to his form.

Orlando Pirates will be in action again next Tuesday in the DStv Premiership when they take on Amazulu in Durban.

Chaine named in MTN8 Team of Tournament

Sports Brief previously reported on Chaine's naming in the MTN8 team of the tournament after Orlando Pirates won the title at the expense of Sundowns.

The Buccaneers' keeper was the hero of the final after he saved three Sundowns' penalties to give his team the deserved win over the Brazilians.

Pirates also dominated the iDiskiTimes MTN8 team of the tournament, with five players making the list, while Sundowns had three players featured.

Kaizer Chiefs were not left behind as they contributed two players to the team listing, while Stellenbosch FC were also represented with just one player.
