FootballEduardo Camavinga’s Assist for Scotland Against France Sets Social Media Alight, Video
- Eduardo Camavinga made an embarrassing mistake during France's win over Scotland
- Barcelona fans don't believe that Camavinga can be compared to Gavi after his blunder
- Camavinga's mistake has become a running joke online as fans trolled the Real Madrid man
Eduardo Camavinga is trending on Twitter for his brilliant assist, but there’s a catch.
The Real Madrid star was representing France in an international friendly against Scotland when he produced the moment of magic.
Unfortunately for the French star, his assist was for the Scottish side as he gifted them an opening goal.
Camavinga intercepted a ball into the French box and, in attempting to clear it, passed it straight to Gilmour, who was free in the box. The Scottish youngster didn’t pass up the opportunity and bent it into the back of the net.
Thankfully for Camavinga, the error didn’t prove costly, as a Benjamin Pavard brace and a Kylian Mbappe penalty meant that France led 3-1 at the break.
Kingsley Coman grabbed a fourth in the second half to ease French fears.
Camavinga trolled online
With the video going viral on social media, fans have poked fun at the Los Blancos star, with Barcelona fans in particular saying that this was proof that he isn't as good as Gavi.
@centro241:
“Camavinga knows he can go the whole season without registering an assist, so he’s there assisting his opponent, fair 🤣🤣🤣.”
@UgoOsinobi:
“If Camavinga started the Final, he would've kept Messi quiet, and Argentina wouldn't have won the WC.” 😂
@FUTForza:
“Mistake leading to goal… and this is who they compared Gavi too? Now the Jude PR starting to make sense. They want us to forget about Camavinga.”
@jadunk01:
“Camavinga's assist🔥🔥🔥What a baller. Next Golden Boy?”
