Al-Ahli winger, Riyad Mahrez seems to have rediscovered his form for the Algerian national team, as he dazzled in their 1-1 draw against Egypt in an international friendly game.
The match was held at the Hazza bin Zayad Stadium in the United Arab Emirates on Monday, October 16.
The Pharaohs took the lead in the 62nd minute through Hamdi Fathy, but the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winners scored a late goal in the third minute of added time courtesy of Islam Slimani to end the game in a draw.
However, Mahrez's moment of brilliance in the first half caught the attention of fans after he weaved his way past Egyptian defender Mohamed Hamdy with his first touch in the 17th minute.
The video of the move went viral on different social media platforms, especially on X (formerly known as Twitter), and stirred reactions from fans.

Sports Brief previously reported on Mahrez hailing Saudi Arabia’s hosting bid to possibly stage the 2034 FIFA World Cup in another Middle Eastern country.
The Algerian forward was among the top players to quit mainstream Europe for the Arab country in the summer window via a lucrative deal with Al-Ahli.
Saudi Arabia has announced its intention to bid to host the Mundial, having already been confirmed as the 2023 Club World Cup and 2027 AFC Cup host.
