  • Francis Uzoho made a huge blunder in Nigeria's friendly game against Mozambique
  • Nigerians criticised the Super Eagles goalkeeper for his mistake against the Mambas
  • Jose Peseiro's side came back from a goal down and saw out that advantage to win

Nigerians have taken to social media to express their displeasure following Francis Uzoho's howler against Mozambique.

One of the major highlights of the first half was the goalkeeper's weak effort that led to the Mambas' first goal of the match.

The three-time AFCON winners conceded in the sixth minute, with the former Deportivo la Coruna shot-stopper being slammed for it.

The Mambas scored early on after Uzoho failed to keep out a weak attempt by Gent Cipriano after a square ball was played into Nigeria's box, according to Soccernet.

Nigerians were not happy with the Super Eagles goalkeeper for making yet another mistake during this international break. They trooped to social media to lambaste him:

"Uzoho is so awful wth"

@VAigbosa said:

"If we don’t find a replacement for this Uzoho before Afcon I doubt if we will pass group stage."

@xuckk said:

"Francis has been shambolic for 2 straight games … Super eagles shouldn’t be having such a mediocre goalie in the team."

@iamlowkyy said:

"I thought we all agreed on ONANA being the worst keeper, who is this one dragging his sit?"

@Teri4PF said:

"Uzoho na the weapon fashioned against Nigeria."

The Super Eagles played out a 2-2 draw against the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia at the same stadium last week (October 13), but needed to hold on to their lead against the Mambas of Mozambique to end their winless run in international friendly games.

Nigeria managed to do just that, holding onto their advantage to claim a 3-2 win.

Nigerians blast Uzoho after howler against Saudi

Sports Brief previously reported on Nigerians criticising Uzoho after his error led to Saudi Arabia's first goal in the 2-2 draw against the Green Falcons.

The former Deportivo La Coruna goalkeeper made a huge mistake by failing to keep out Salman Al-Faraj's free kick in the 60th minute of the match.

Saudi Arabia took the game to the Super Eagles, with the Africans appearing to struggle even stringing passes together for most of the friendly.
