Legendary Nigerian midfielder, Austin Jay Jay Okocha has explained why Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen should have accepted the mega offer from the Saudi Pro League in the summer.

The Napoli striker was offered a huge sum of money to move to the Middle Eastern Nation in the last summer transfer window but turned it down to stay in Italy.

A lot of players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Neymar, Marcelo Brozovic and others left Europe for Saudi Arabia, but the former Lille striker still fancies staying in Europe.

In a recent interview as per Soccernet, Okocha admitted that Osimhen was within his rights to make the decision, but claimed he should have accepted it because of the huge some of money attached to the deal.

"It doesn’t make sense to me, but it is his [Osimhen] decision, but if I am given such an offer, I will go without hesitation," he said.

The former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder further explained the importance of taking care of yourself ahead of a cabinet filled with titles.

"As an African, you can fill your cabinet with titles, but if you can’t feed yourself, nobody will appreciate those laurels you have gathered," he added.

Okocha reacts to Chukwueze's move to Milan
