According to Metro UK, Al-Ittihad are among the top Middle Eastern clubs that have registered interest in landing the services of the Egyptian.

The SPL giants are said to have tabled a previous bid worth an eyewatering £150 million to sign Salah.

However, the Reds reportedly rejected the offer and their ace had no choice but to continue with them into the 2023/24 Premier League season.

Be that as it may, Al-Ittihad are expected to continue pursuing their interest in the star forward ahead of the January transfer window.

Liverpool want Sane to replace Salah

Reports now claim Liverpool have embarked on a plan to find a potential replacement for the Egyptian star.

The Mirror reports that the Merseysiders are concerned Salah could depart at the end of the season, given the strong interest from Saudi Arabia, and have since shortlisted Sane to replace the 31-year-old.

The publication claims the Jurgen Klopp-tutored side are even willing to break their own transfer record to sign the Bayern Munich star.

Sane has been impressive for the German giants since he joined them from Manchester City in 2020 in a deal worth £54.8 million.

Liverpool reject £150m Salah bid

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Liverpool stating Salah is not for sale after turning down a mega offer for the Egyptian forward from Saudi Arabia.

The 31-year-old, who recently extended his contract with the Reds, had emerged as a top transfer target for Al-Ittihad, who made a reported offer.

The bid for Salah by the Saudi Arabian club, which was worth £100 million plus another £50mil in add-ons, was instantly rejected by the English side.
