West Ham United are reportedly plotting a January transfer move for out-of-favour Manchester United centre-back, Harry Maguire.
Maguire has significantly fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag preferring the partnership of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez at the heart of his defence.
According to The Mirror, the Englishman has struggled for game timedinge the arrival of the Dutchman in 2022 and has managed just one Premier League start so far this season.
The current situation reportedly saw Maguire send the United boss an ultimatum, with the centre-back making clear his desire to play more often - or he would consider other options.
Speaking during the international break, the former Leicester City defender hinted he would be forced to 'seriously consider his future' at Old Trafford if he does not feature as often.
Maguire targeted for possibly January move
Apparently, the England international will not fall short of options should he push for a January transfer exit.
ESPN reports West Ham are among the clubs that could move for Maguire in January, with David Moyes concerned about the prospect of losing Kurt Zouma to Saudi Arabia in January.
Zouma, who is contracted at the London Stadium until June 2025, is said to be a top transfer target for sides in the Saudi Pro League.
Maguire has apparently emerged as the ideal candidate to replace the 28-year-old at West Ham.
The United centre-back came close to joining the Hammers in the summer, only for the proposed transfer move to fall through under unclear circumstances.
