The Omonia of Cyprus shot-stopper had made an attempt to get hold of an aerial ball, only to parry it into his own net.

Nigeria drew level courtesy of an own goal in the 73rd minute, and then Kelechi Iheanacho put the Super Eagles ahead eight minutes later.

In the final minute of stoppage time, Saudi Arabia struck an equaliser following a fine effort from Mohamed Kanno.

It ended Nigeria 2-2 Saudi Arabia.

After the game, Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro admitted Uzoho’s error was his own. He said via Daily Post:

“I like our players, when they make mistakes it is my responsibility.
The goalkeepers never play free or calm because of the people. I don’t know why they attack the goalkeepers every time.
“Why don’t they attack the strikers when they lose the ball or miss a goal, why?
“They could make mistakes, it is my responsibility. Next time, I need to train him (Uzoho) better.”

Ndidi unimpressed with Uzoho

Sports Brief earlier reported that one of the major highlights of the match was Francis Uzoho's blunder that led to Saudi Arabia's first goal in the game.
