Premier League injuries: Vincent Kompany proposes radical change as Saka, Chilwell join growing list

Manchester United's director of football, John Murtough, has disclosed that the club has opened an investigation into the rampant cases of injuries this season.
United have struggled to post consistent results, which is partly down to the unavailability of a host of top stars at Erik ten Hag's disposal.
The Red Devils are currently in 10th place, having already lost four games this season. They are also rooted at the bottom of their Champions League group after losses to Bayern Munich and Galatasaray.
Playmaker EN statistics show that the club is currently missing 9 first-team players. Only Chelsea and Crystal Palace have more players unavailable. At the moment, ten Hag has no recognised right back, with Tyrell Malacia and Luke Shaw out injured. Sergio Reguillon, who was signed on loan to provide cover, is also out.

FootballThe news is bound to get worse after it emerged that Casemiro might have hurt his ankle while on international duty for Brazil, as reported by Stretty News.
Murtough has admitted that the club's hierarchy is alive to the challenges ten Hag is going through.
"There are some strong mitigations for the mixed results so far, including 16 first-team players being injured or unavailable for periods since the start of the season," he said, as quoted by 90MIN.
The DOF has vowed that the club will look into issues to prevent future repetitions.
"We're also looking at why we've had so many injuries to see if there's any patterns to improve prevention in future."
