Four-time African champions, Ghana have been drawn in Group B of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The Black Stars will face seven-time African champions Egypt, and West African rivals Cape Verde and Mozambique in their group.
Ghana are chasing a fifth Africa Cup of Nations title after last winning the tournament in 1982.
However, they will have to deal with the Pharaohs, who are one of the favourites in Group B, as sighted on CAF's social media.
The West African football powerhouse have been to the finals three times since their last success, losing to Ivory Coast in 1992 and 2015 and against Egypt in 2010.
The Black Stars will be seeking revenge against Egypt in their group clash.
The team is currently in the United States preparing for next month's World Cup qualifiers with friendlies against Mexico and the United States, as reported by ghanasoccernet.com.
Ghana have not missed the Africa Cup of Nations since failing to qualify for the 2004 edition in Tunisia.
Ghana avoid Super Eagles at AFCON draw
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that the Black Stars of Ghana has avoided West African rivals Nigeria in the group stage of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Both teams have been grouped in Pot 2 of the draw, which will be held on October 12, 2023, in Abidjan.
The twenty-four teams that have qualified for the tournament in Ivory Coast have been placed in four pots of six nations each.
