Former Nigerian international, Mikel Obi has reunited with his former Chelsea teammates, Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou in Ivory Coast.

The former Super Eagles star is in town for the AFCON 2023 draw, which will take place at the Parc des Expositions d'Abidjan in Abidjan tonight (October 12).

Earlier, Mikel had shared a clip of the moment he arrived in the city, claiming it was his very first time in Ivory Coast.

The legendary midfielder shared a video of himself on his Instagram account, with the caption, as per Premium Times:

"Touch down Ivory Coast to Draw for the final phase of the 34th Africa Cup of Nations. Who wants to teach me some French??"

The 36-year-old took photos of some beautiful edifices of Abidjan but claimed he had told his friends (Drogba and Kalou) to invite him earlier.

He also took a subtle swipe at the Ivorian legends, saying they could not host him because they were ‘stingy’.

Mikel has now shared a clip of the moment he reunited with his ‘Chelsea friends’ as they prepared for breakfast, with the trio laughing and posing for photos together.

The trio were part of the famous Chelsea squad that defeated Bayern Munich to win the UEFA Champions League in 2012.
