Jude Bellingham's remarkable start to life at Real Madrid has ignited a chorus of praise for the young midfielder.
While many have lavished praise on him for his talent and the impact he has had on Carlo Ancelotti's team following his record-breaking transfer, a select few have gone a step further, hailing him as the best player in the world at present.
Amid the flurry of reactions and accolades showered upon Bellingham, his club teammate and the Spanish national team goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga recently faced a question regarding his thoughts on Bellingham potentially being the world's best player.
However, the La Roja shot-stopper responded to the inquiry with a diplomatically understated comment.
Kepa speaks on Bellingham
The 29-year-old goalkeeper, who is currently on loan from Premier League club Chelsea, shared his perspective on Bellingham, as reported by Madrid Universal:
"On a global level, I don't see anyone above Jude. We all watch him every game he plays. I hope he can continue like this, he is a very mature boy for his age. He has things very clear in what he wants. He covers the entire field and runs, defensively and offensively."
Bellingham, who seamlessly integrated into the setup of the Spanish giants, has already scored ten goals in as many appearances for Los Blancos, according to Whoscored.
He is currently the frontrunner to win the prestigious Golden Boy Award and if he continues to deliver outstanding performances, a future Ballon d'Or may be well within his reach.
