FootballPitso Mosimane Sends Message to Clubs in Europe Over Employment of African Coaches
- Pitso Mosimane has urged European football clubs to consider employing African coaches

- Mosimane stated European teams need to change their mentality towards black tacticians
Al Wahda coach, Pitso Mosimane has sent a strong message to European clubs over the possible appointment of African managers.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach has urged clubs from the European continent to give coaches from his continent a chance.
Mosimane, who currently works in the United Arab Emirates, stated that despite his achievements, no European club has shown interest in him.
Mosimane has won a staggering 19 trophies since he began his managerial career, including three CAF Champions League titles.
The South African lamented the lack of jobs for African coaches abroad, saying Europeans need to change their mentality towards them.
He told AD Sports via iDiski Times:
"We can run around and we can escape and make excuses [but] Europe does not employ African coaches.
Mosimane stated that his job was to build up the trust and legacy of African coaches so that more of his compatriots are given chances in Europe. However, he felt there was a caveat.
"Europe is not ready to accept an African coach - Europe comes to Africa to buy a player to help them win the [UEFA] Champions League. Sadio Mane helped Liverpool win the Champions League, Mohamed Salah comes to help Liverpool win the Champions League - same as Neymar, same as Messi helped them.
"Can you check the transfers, how much was paid for Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, how much was paid in South America? €80 million, €60 million… How much was paid to Africa?" he concluded.
