FootballJuventus Reportedly Cut Paul Pogba's Salary After Failed Doping Test
- Paul Pogba has reportedly received a pay cut amid his recent tribulations
- He is indefinitely suspended after returning two positives in his doping case
- Pogba's current contract with the Italian giants could also be terminated
Juventus have reportedly communicated to Paul Pogba that his salary will be reduced pending the verdict of his failed drug test.
Pogba is expected to know his fate soon after a counter-analysis of his sample yielded another positive result for excessive amounts of testosterone, which is considered a doping violation.
The French midfielder was first put on a provisional suspension last month after his test during Juventus' game against Udinese on August 20 returned the first positive.

But now, with no change in results, the World Cup winning star faces a ban of up to four years.
However, Juve FC has indicated that he could get a reduced sentence should he be able to prove that he took the substances unknowingly. The ban will still be effected, but he might avoid the full length of four years.
As this happens, the 30-year-old has received a setback after the Old Lady revealed that it would drastically reduce his salary going forward. Goal reports that he will now receive only €2,000 per month.
The former Manchester United midfielder signed a four-year deal last summer worth €7mil per year in terms of salary, which equated to around €583,000 per month.
Contract termination is also on the table even as Pogba fights to clear his name.
