Chelsea legend Frank Lampard will reportedly be named as Maurizio Sarri’s replacement at Stamford Bridge this week.
According to UK Sun citing TalkSPORT report, Lampard, who has been repeatedly linked with Chelsea return, is expected to make the switch in the next 48 hours, alongside his assistant at Derby County Jody Morris.
The 41-year-old Lampard impressed in his first season as manager of the Championship campaigners, taking the club to the play-off final.

Lampard is Chelsea's record goalscorer with 211 goals in 648 appearances and one of the club’s best players ever, claiming 11 major trophies with the west London outfit including three EPL titles and the Champions League.
Interestingly, the report further revealed that Lampard’s performances with youngsters - particularly with Chelsea loanees Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori, was the major reason the club’s chiefs agreed to hand him the job.
Chelsea are unlikely to sign players this summer window FIFA’s rules on signing of under-18 foreign players.
At the last count, Eden Hazard alongside Gary Cahill are out of the squad, with the likes of Jorginho, Emerson and Davide Zappacosta linked with summer exit as the incoming manager will depend on the club’s Academy to fill the vacuum.
Meanwhile, former England captain Alan Shearer, who now doubles as SunSport columnist said Lampard is "exactly who Chelsea need right now."
"I think he would be a very good appointment as manager and I understand why owner Roman Abramovich would want him.
"Because of their transfer ban, Chelsea are in a tough situation.
"They are finally going to have to bring some of their youngsters through and use some of their players coming back from being out on loan... Lampard will know a lot of them better than most.

"So when you put all that together, it is a no-brainer for Frank,” he wrote.

Lampard has had a successful debut in football management, and is on the verge of guiding Derby County to Premier League promotion.
