Nobody is prouder of the Senegalese star than his mother. Satou Toure was seen in a video on X (formerly Twitter) signing the praises of her son and the atmosphere he has surrounded himself with since moving to the Middle East.

In the social media clip, Toure praised the Saudi Arabian government for 'looking after Mane' and ensuring he has had a smooth transition to life in the oil-rich nation.

As Toure stated, her son’s devoted adherence to Islam has endeared him to all in Saudi Arabia and went on to say that making the move was the best decision he has ever made.

On the pitch, Mane has made an effective start to the season, per TransferMarkt. He has made nine league appearances, scoring six goals and assisting twice.

In Al-Nassr’s latest outing, they threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Abha Club. The ex-Liverpool man was subbed off after 80 minutes with his team leading 2-1.

Despite Ronaldo's magic, as Sports Brief also reported, Abha netted an equaliser in injury time to grab a point.

Mane has a storied journey

Sports Brief previously reported on Mane recounting his journey from underrated to an international football superstar.

He disclosed how he struggled in Senegal in his efforts to become a professional footballer, before rising upwards in his career.

Mane also described how he left his village in the country without telling anyone as he began a quest to play football for a living.
