- Arsenal versus Man City was marked by dramatic scenes after the full-time whistle
- Kyle Walker and Erling Haaland were involved in a row with Gunners coaching staff
- It remains unclear what sparked this confrontation and Pep Guardiola will not say
Pep Guardiola has made a comment about the row that saw Manchester City's Kyle Walker and Erling Haaland clash with a member of Arsenal's coaching staff.
The heated confrontation took place shortly after the Gunners silenced the Citizens 1-0 during their Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
According to The Mirror, Gabriel Martinelli came off the bench to steer the hosts to a crucial victory, in what was Arsenal's first EPL win over City since 2015.
However, the end of the tie was marked by ugly scenes as tempers flared before an ugly confrontation ensued.
Nicolas Jover, an Arsenal set-piece coach who once worked at City, appeared to have approached Walker for a handshake when the confrontation happened.
While the full-back initially ignored Jover's advances, he turned back moments later to confront him. Haaland later found himself in the mix and had to be held back by another member of his team's staff.
Pep unwilling to explain Emirates confrontation
Pep has since spoken regarding the confrontation involving his players, with the City boss refusing to discuss the details behind the incident.
Speaking after the match, the Spaniard admitted he knew what sparked the spat, but remained mum on sharing the details.
"I know what happened, but I don’t want to say anything," Guardiola said per Metro UK when asked what sparked the confrontation. "They [Arsenal] know it."
Meanwhile, City's defeat against the Gunners saw them drop to third in the Premier League standings. This was the team's second league defeat of the season, having initially lost to Wolves.
