Former Chelsea and Liverpool striker Fernando Torres has decided to hang his boots in football at the age of 35 in an emotional announcement made by the Spanish star.
The Spanish football star made the announcement in Japan where he has been playing for Sagan Tosu since he left La Liga club Atletico Madrid.
Fernando Torres will be most fondly remembered at Liverpool after arriving from the Spanish capital in 2007.

The lethal striker scored 81 goals in 142 games for the current Champions League winners before joining rivals Chelsea.
He joined Chelsea for £50 million in January 2011, but injury and form issues meant that he was never able to consistently reproduce those Liverpool performances at Stamford Bridge.
But despite that, he was part of the Blues squad that won the Champions League title in 2012.
And on international football, Torres won 110 caps for Spain and his 38 goals are only bettered by David Villa and Raul.
