- Pep Guardiola's champions succumbed to a 1-0 defeat during their visit to the Emirates Stadium
Erling Haaland and Kyle Walker were involved in a reported confrontation with Arsenal staff minutes after their loss at the Emirates Stadium on October 8.
Manchester City went 1-0 down to throw an early twist in the title race. It was the first time since 2015 the Gunners beat the Citizens in a Premier League game.
Gabriel Martinelli, a half-time substitute, scored in the 86th minute as he benefitted from a heavy deflection off of Nathan Ake to hand Mikel Arteta's charges the precious victory.
Both sides missed key players, with Bukayo Saka sitting out after picking up an injury during their midweek Champions League clash. City, meanwhile, did not have Rodri, who was serving the last of his three-game ban for the red card he picked against Nottingham Forest a fortnight ago.
Seconds after the final whistle, Haaland was allegedly seen exchanging words with Arsenal staff as the Man City squad walked down the tunnel, as reported by the Mirror.
His captain, Walker is also said to have joined in but the situation was quickly cooled off as they disappeared down the tunnel.
Guardiola declined to comment on what went on during that altercation in his post-match remarks.
It was Man City's second defeat in a row in the Premier League - the first time since December 2018 - having lost to Wolverhampton almost two weeks ago.
Haaland's goal drought in all competitions has also extended to three games.
Haaland pinpoints moment Arsenal lost title
Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Haaland highlighting the moment he knew Arsenal had lost the Premier League title to Man City last season.
The Gunners were in a pole position to secure the English top flight crown under Mikel Arteta after a dominant run throughout the campaign.
Arsenal enjoyed a significant advantage over City in the title race for the better part of the season and were the sure favourites to claim the title.
