Jose Mourinho has detailed why he joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2010, describing the Spanish giants as the biggest club in the world.
The Portuguese manager was in charge of Inter Milan and had just won the treble, including the UEFA Champions League with the Serie A giants, before jumping ship to Los Blancos in 2010.
According to Football Espana, Mourinho, in a recent interview, has now confessed he had to quit Inter Milan when Real Madrid came knocking due to the club’s pedigree in football.
“The opportunity came for the second time and I wanted to go, it was a moment in my career where I told myself I had to. They’re the biggest club in the world, but I wanted to finish at Inter by winning the Serie A title.”
Mourinho would go on to win three major trophies with Real Madrid in three years, ending Barcelona’s dominance of La Liga by edging the Catalans to the Spanish league and also winning one Copa del Rey and one Spanish Super Cup.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho revealed that he is open to working in Saudi Arabia in the future with uncertainties surrounding his present job with Serie A side AS Roma, GOAL reports.
