You would put your house on Peter Shalulile scoring from close range.
The Mamelodi Sundowns striker has built a reputation for being a lethal striker, but sadly couldn’t live up to it in the MTN 8 final.
Sundowns were taking on defending champions Orlando Pirates in the final at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban and should have had a lead at the halftime break.
Shalulile had the best of the chances to put his side in front, as he missed a header in front of an empty net.
The Namibian was picked out by an inch-perfect pass by Khuliso Mudau but headed the ball straight into the ground, which saw it then bounce over the bar.
The missed chance proved to be decisive, as the match finished 0-0 after 90 minutes of play.
Many feel it was a blessing in disguise, as Mudau looked to be offside during the build-up, while others poked fun at Shalulile for missing from close range.

@kappilinho:
“Wow, what a miss by Shalulile. He actually saved the assistant referee because Mudau looked offside before the cross.”

“The muti must be working. Shalulile missed an open goal!”
