Former president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, has called out Afrobeats singer Davido for failing to show up at the 19th edition of Warri Again.
The FIFA executive alleged that the ‘Feel It’ crooner had received $94,600 for his performance at the event in Delta State.
Pinnick further claimed that a chartered plane was arranged to convey the singer and his team to Warri, which cost the state another $18,000.
The football administrator expressed disappointment in the superstar’s absence at the event, which was held on Friday, October 6.
Akeliscious reports that OBO, who was named as the headline act for the event, was eventually replaced with “Evien” crooner Shallipop.
Pinnick told the crowd present at the event.
"Davido was paid $94,600 and a private jet worth $18,000 was booked for his performance in Warri, Delta State, but unfortunately, he didn't show up."
Footage of Pinnick’s rant has set the social media space agog, leaving Nigerians with mixed reactions. One said:
