What next for Paul Pogba?

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Juventus will have to make some tough calls on the future of the former Manchester United star.

A four-year ban would see the 30-year-old outrun his current contract in Turin. He is in the second year of his four-year deal with the Serie A giants.

Juve manager Max Allegri and French Head Coach Didier Deschamps voiced their support for the midfielder, who has battled a couple of issues over the past year.

His second return to Turin hasn't taken off as expected due to injuries and fitness concerns. He was then rocked by a blackmail and witchcraft scandal with his elder brother, Mathias Pogba.

Football's worst declines

Sports Brief had earlier reported that footballers generally have short careers, but some - like Cristiano Ronaldo - can stay at the top level for more than two decades, while others have brief moments of greatness before their careers rapidly decline for several reasons.

Paul Pogba was considered a world-class midfielder for a few years but has suffered an inexplicable drop-off.

Injuries, mental hurdles, and personal issues have prevented some players from truly reaching their potential and being consistent in their careers. Sports Brief looks at the 7 biggest drop-offs in recent years.
