  • Darwin Nunez produced a shocking miss from close range for Liverpool last night
  • Coach Jurgen Klopp was in utter disbelief at the Uruguayan striker's horrible miss
  • The Reds beat Royale Union Saint-Gilloise 2-0 in their second UEL group-stage tie

Jurgen Klopp's reaction to Darwin Nunez's miss during Liverpool's 2-0 win over Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the UEFA Europa League is going viral.

The Reds beat the Belgian club with a maiden goal from summer signing, Ryan Gravenberch and Diogo Jota to move top of Group E after Toulouse beat LASK 1-0.

Liverpool dominated the majority of the game, enjoying 73% possession and recording 18 shots, but could only blame their wastefulness in front of the goal for not scoring more.

Klopp ringed three half-time changes in an attempt to rest players, with an away trip to the AMEX Stadium to face Brighton and Hove Albion coming in the league on Sunday.

Klopp's reaction to Nunez's miss

Striker, Nunez produced a shocking miss from the most straightforward chance after blazing Mohamed Salah's low cross wide off the target, with the goalkeeper at the far post.

As spotted by ESPN UK, Klopp could not believe what he saw and turned his back in utter embarrassment at the miss, raising his palm as if questioning himself.

The German boss substituted Nunez as part of his three changes at half-time, even though it likely had nothing to do with the incident with Salah, as Wataru Endo also made way.

Mac Allister family reunites at UEL game

The game also saw Liverpool star, Alexis Mac Allister square off against his brother, Kevin, who plays for Saint-Gilloise with their father, Carlos in the stands watching.

As seen in a video shared by @LFC, the brothers shared a few moments catching up before the game and enjoyed mate tea together, a local Argentine brew.

Klopp wants Tottenham-Liverpool replayed

Sports Brief also reported on Klopp seeking a replay of the game between Tottenham and Liverpool after PGMOL admitted to 'human error' in wrongly disallowing Luis Diaz's goal.

To make matters worse, the body also confirmed Diogo Jota should not have been sent off for two bookable offences in 22 seconds, which saw the Reds reduced to nine men.
