Ghanaian winger, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has disclosed his ambition of helping Leicester City secure promotion to the English Premier League after a fine start to his career at the King Power Stadium.

Having made a couple of substitute appearances since joining the club in August, Issahaku started the last two matches as Leicester defeated Blackburn Rovers and promotion chasers Preston to go top of the table.

"Their journey is to go back to the Premier League. That's a big opportunity for me to help," he told the BBC.
"For me [joining] Leicester is a big achievement. When I heard they were interested, I was so happy because it's been my dream to play in England."

The former Ghana U20 star has already made a goal contribution at Leicester after providing the assist for the opener against Blackburn at Ewood Park, as reported by footballghana.com.

The 2016 Premier League champions are currently on a five-game winning streak as the quest for a quick return to the top flight continues.

Leicester City have the option of making Issahaku's deal a permanent one at the end of the season.

Issahaku consoles Sulemana

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Fatawu Issahaku sympathised with Kamaldeen Sulemana, who was sent off as Southampton suffered a huge home defeat.

Sulemana was making a return to the team after recovering from an injury that kept him out since the start of the season.

The Southampton star's first game of the campaign ended with him getting a straight red card following a tackle on Leicester's James Justin.

Issahaku joins Leicester

Sports Brief also reported on when Isshaku completed his move to Leicester.

The 19-year-old joined the Foxes from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan.

Issahaku, who moved to Sporting Lisbon in 2022, joined his new teammates at the King Power stadium after he got league and international clearance.
