Bayern Munich has entered the history books again after another hard-fought victory in the UEFA Champions League against FC Copenhagen on Tuesday, October 3.

According to Channels, Bayern Munich are yet to lose a Champions League group stage match since September 2017, one of the longest unbeaten runs in the history of the competition.

Following the result against Copenhagen, the Bundesliga champions have also set a new Champions League record by going unbeaten in their last 18 away group-stage fixtures.

Bayern Munich are currently unbeaten in 36 straight Champions League group stage matches and have also won each of their last 15 games in the European flagship club competition.

Tuchel says Bayern deserves victory

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel says his team deserved their comeback victory after securing a 2-1 win against Copenhagen in the Champions League, Bulinews reports.

In a post-match interview, Tuchel described the match as "tough", but felt his team deserved to win.

The Bavarians came from a goal down to beat their Danish opponents 2-1 thanks to goals from Jamal Musiala and Dutch teenage sensation Mathys Tel.

Bayern have now garnered six points from their first two matches in Group A after previously beating Manchester United in their opening group game at the Allianz Arena two weeks ago.

Tel strikes late as Bayern come from behind

Earlier, Sports Brief reported teenage Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel struck late as his side came from behind to beat FC Copenhagen 2-1 in their Champions League clash in the Danish capital on Tuesday.

Bayern lacked fluidity and struggled against an impressive Copenhagen side, who grabbed the lead early in the second half thanks to Lukas Lerager's opener.

With Bayern in danger of losing their first Champions League group stage match since September 2017, Thomas Tuchel's men upped the ante, Jamal Musiala equalising with a superb solo effort.
