Bayern Munich has entered the history books again after another hard-fought victory in the UEFA Champions League against FC Copenhagen on Tuesday, October 3.
Dutch teenager Mathys Tel struck late to help the Bavarians come from behind to beat the Danish club 2-1 and maintain their unbeaten run in the Champions League group stage.
According to Channels, Bayern Munich are yet to lose a Champions League group stage match since September 2017, one of the longest unbeaten runs in the history of the competition.
Following the result against Copenhagen, the Bundesliga champions have also set a new Champions League record by going unbeaten in their last 18 away group-stage fixtures.
Bayern Munich are currently unbeaten in 36 straight Champions League group stage matches and have also won each of their last 15 games in the European flagship club competition.
Tuchel says Bayern deserves victory
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel says his team deserved their comeback victory after securing a 2-1 win against Copenhagen in the Champions League, Bulinews reports.
In a post-match interview, Tuchel described the match as "tough", but felt his team deserved to win.
The Bavarians came from a goal down to beat their Danish opponents 2-1 thanks to goals from Jamal Musiala and Dutch teenage sensation Mathys Tel.
Bayern have now garnered six points from their first two matches in Group A after previously beating Manchester United in their opening group game at the Allianz Arena two weeks ago.
