Thomas Muller was again instrumental as Thomas Tuchel's Bayern Munich coasted to a sandbagged UEFA Champions League victory away at FC Copenhagen.
The Bavarian club laboured to a 2-1 comeback win courtesy of a dazzling goal from youngster, Jamal Musiala and French striker, Mathys Tel, who was on the receiving end of a brilliant assist from Muller.
While Tuchel and his Bavarian team will embrace the victory despite the manner in which it came, the win ensured Muller joined Real Madrid legend, Iker Casillas in an exclusive Champions League club, as reported by Bavaria Football Works.
Muller joins Casillas in exclusive UCL list
The 2010 FIFA World Cup top goal-scorer has now drawn level with the Spanish goalkeeper on the all-time list rankings of most wins in the UCL - 101.
Muller, who has clinched Europe's most prized club trophy on two occasions, is 14 wins short of the competition's most decorated star, Cristiano Ronaldo (115).
If the German player stays with Bayern beyond this season, there is a possibility he could surpass Ronaldo in terms of that achievement.
This potential outcome is not discounted, especially in light of the upcoming modifications to the club competition scheduled for the 2024/25 season, as reported by ESPN.
Tuchel would hope that Muller, one of Bayern's longest-serving players, can inspire his teammates to regain their form and reclaim the top spot in the Bundesliga.
